Cookbooks for sale!

As most of you know, our 2 girls are planning on traveling with us when we go to China to pick up Baby Girl!  At the very beginning of this process, they asked if they could go with us and we began to talk about the possibility.  We loved that they wanted to go and thought it would be a great opportunity for them to grasp a vision for orphan care at a young age. We then began to ask our agency about the added cost of taking them us.  We found out that it will likely cost an additional $8,000 for the girls to make the trip with us, which almost had us rethinking our plan to let them go.  But for us, the decision is bigger than a dollar amount.  We want them to see with their own eyes the need to care for the least of these around the world.   We made the decision to let them go, but asked that they help raise some of the funds needed to travel.  Last year, the girls worked diligently to make American Girl sleeping bags before Christmas and were able to raise $1,000 toward their travel!  So many of you were so kind to support them in their efforts and they were truly blessed because of it!

The girls had taken a break from their fund-raising efforts until we received our referral.  Now, they are racking their brains to find more items to sell and help them raise money for their trip. They even want to sell their once held dear American Girl dolls! Hambone and MV have been very busy making bracelets at home and selling them for $1 to anyone who will listen to their sales pitch!  So far, they have made $85 selling bracelets!

Now, we have a very dear friend, Cassie Fish, who has graciously offered to let us sell her very own cookbook and keep all the profit!  If any of you know Cassie, you know that her cooking is fabulous and her recipes are tried and true!
