RA Arrived!

Well, we just received the phone call from our agency that our RA (Referral Acceptance) from China arrived today! We got caught in the Chinese New Year last week when the government offices shut down and were not processing any documents, so we were about a week behind when we thought we would hear of our RA.  BUT, we are confident that our God has this timing thing already worked out! As it looks right now, we will travel sometime in mid to late May.  Pretty perfect timing from an educator's stand point!

Two important items get to happen now that we have our RA.  First, we get to share our daughter's picture on here! I think I will share one at time, so check back tomorrow for a new picture accompanied with a very exciting fundraiser!  Second, we now get to send our daughter a care package just from us! All of the sudden it feels real.  There really is a child on the opposite side of the world who is mine.  Who is sleeping right now in a crib.  Is she warm enough?  Is she scared or sick?  All of these emotions just began to hit me out of nowhere.  I want to snuggle her close, let her hear my heart beat and feel the warmth of my arms.   I know that her transition to our arms will most likely be a hard one, but I am desperate for her to know how much we love her already.  And so very thankful that her Creator loves her so much more than I.  She's in His arms right now, and I rest knowing there is no better place for her to be until we come!

And, here she is!  This is the first picture we received of Baby Girl back in January.  This picture was taken in August, when she was 8 months old and measuring more like a 3 month old.
